Cinderella skit - the abridged version

MC 1: Due to the unforseen and unfortunate fate of the last theatre performance group that performed before the Queen it was decided that this years performance would be provided by a random selection from the queendom.

MC 2: Would the following people please step forward: [This is where you dob in your mates to play the parts].

Narrator:
Cinderella:
Step Sister 1:
Step Sister 2:
Step Sister 3:
Prince Charming:
Fairy God Mother:

Now we will go through a script reading so that you can get to know your character a little better. Please stand as your recite your lines and be seated in-between.

Cinderella - an abridged and insightful recount (for the Queen of Hearts)

Narrator: I am the Narrator. Cinderella - an abridged and insightful recount.
Cinderella: I am Cinderella.
Prince Charming: I am Prince Charming.
Step Sister 1, 2 & 3 [in unison]: We are the step sisters.
Fairy Godmother: And I am the fairy god mother.

Narrator: Once upon a time there was a Prince
Prince Charming: I am very, very, very handsome.

Narrator: And three ugly step sisters.
Step Sister 1, 2 & 3 [in unison]: We are very ugly.

Narrator: There was Cinderella.
Cinderella: Alright
Fairy Godmother: And I am the fairy god mother.

Step Sister 1: Cinderella, sweep the floor.
C: Alright
Step Sister 2: Cinderella, wash the curtains.
Cinderella: Alright
Step Sister 3: Cinderella, pressure clean and respray the roof.
Cinderella: Alright

Narrator: The prince is having a ball.

Step Sister 1, 2 & 3 [in unison]: We are excited. We are going to the ball.
Cinderella: I am sad. I am not going to the ball.

Step Sister 1: Cinderella, fetch our dresses.
Cinderella: Alright.
Step Sister 2: Cinderella, bring our shoes.
Cinderella: Alright.
Step Sister 3: Cinderella, bring our capes.
Cinderella: Alright.

Step Sister 1: We are going to the ball.
Cinderella: Alright
Step Sister 2: Cinderella, stay here and do your chores.
Cinderella: Alright

Narrator: The evil step sisters go to the ball.

Cinderella: I am sad
Fairy Godmother: And I am the fairy god mother. Why are you sad?
Cinderella: I am not going to the ball.
Fairy Godmother: You may go the ball too.
Cinderella: Oh no, I can not.
Fairy Godmother: Oh yes, you can.
Cinderella: Oh no, I can not.
Fairy Godmother: Oh yes, you can.
Cinderella: Alright
Fairy Godmother: Here is your dress and carriage.
Cinderella: Alright
Fairy Godmother: Be back by midnight
Cinderella: Alright

Narrator: At the ball
Prince Charming: I am Prince Charming. I am very, very, very handsome.
Step Sister 1: Do you want to dance?
Prince Charming: No
Step Sister 2: Do you want to dance?
Prince Charming: No
Step Sister 3: Do you want to dance?
Prince Charming: No [pause] I want to dance with you.
Cinderella: Alright

Cinderella: I am happy.
Step Sister 1, 2 & 3 [in unison]: We are jealous.
Prince Charming: I am very, very, very handsome.
Fairy Godmother: And I am the fairy god mother.

Narrator: Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! Bong! [12 in all]
Fairy Godmother: It is midnight - time to go.
Cinderella: Alright. Oh no, my glass slipper!

Narrator: The very next day
Step Sister 1: I am going to marry the prince.
Cinderella: Alright
Step Sister 2: I am going to marry the prince.
Cinderella: Alright
Step Sister 3: I am going to marry the prince.
Cinderella: Alright
Step Sister 1, 2 & 3 [in unison]: We are very ugly.
Cinderella: Alright

Prince Charming: Whoever fits this shoe will be my bride.
Step Sister 1: It fits!
Prince Charming: It does not!
Step Sister 2: It fits!
Prince Charming: It does not!
Step Sister 3: It fits!
Prince Charming: It does not!
Cinderella: It fits!
Prince Charming: It does, marry me.
Cinderella: Alright [pause] I am happy.

Narrator: And so they were wed. Later within the walls of the castle:
Prince Charming: Cinderella, sweep the floor.
