Things You Should Know
Before you jump into my web site there are several things that you should be aware of.
Face Value
When reading content from this web site you should perhaps understand my writing approach. In some instances, it is purely about an interest, passion or something that has captured and retained my attention - from the Open Source Industry to my children's favourite play activity, through to a YouTube clip. However, much of my content is thematic relating to my daily goings on in family, business, family business, and any downtime between them. When I write on these themes, it is important to understand that often, for any number of reasons, it may be inappropriate to talk about a direct or immediate situation. This is important to keep in mind when you start seeking out context to my content - I write to the theme not the experience. The experiences that may be shared are most likely historical to better illustrate the point of my theme without elaborating on what is happening in the here and now.
Motivation
Nine times out of ten I add content to my web site during peak times of stress, this applies to my participation in many social forums and mailing lists also, as I utilise them to help me unwind after a long day. To illustrate this, as I have had to for many readers of my web site, my web presence is my chance to throw any event going on in my life against a wall like shattered eggs, to watch them slide down, make a mess and laugh at so that I can then sleep at night. Really, it is as simple as that.
Application
I take no responsibility for any actions taken by others in relation to the content of this web site. Considering that less than 18% of my readership base is from Australia, my country of origin, chances are you don't even know me, even through a friend. Based on this, it is important to view my web site in the same context as any other. For all you know, on one hand I could a person with psychopathic tendencies intent on luring you into a cult and inciting you to take your own life and on the other I could be a saint. Like most I fall in between these two polarised views but I think you get the point that you should also think twice before following my actions, writings or suggestions. In my opinion, there is only one person worthy of being followed in such a manner and that is Jesus Christ, Lord and Saviour. However, even then, people including his own disciples questioned him to better understand what he was on about!
As I have said to many people both in real life and online, if people look to me for guidance then they are looking at the wrong person!! I am a testimony to the fact that we all make mistakes and can sometimes stumble in trying to reach our goals to be good at what we choose to apply our lives to. I put my experience out there, as is, for people to discern for themselves. So, I thank you for taking the time to read from my web site, I know you could probably be doing 101 other things instead. I hope you do find what you are looking for, be it a laugh through to the same down that leads me to write. If you are here looking for specific information then I encourage you to also look at other sites and resources also as my content is as imperfect as I am.
Questions?
If at any time you have questions about me, what I have written, and why I take a particular stance then you are always welcome to contact me via comments or my contact form. I am more than happy to answer them and if you are a registered member then I am happy to respond to you personally. I don't bite anyone's heads off and serve them for dinner and nor do I disclose and information disclosed in the registration process (your email address for example). I would certainly rather you asked me a question than have you walk away to draw your own conclusion which will quite possibly be wrong.
