Who is Kristy?
I am lover of life and a believer in community spirit who has had the chance to express this through her business and work life, including as a consultant and presenter, as a community participant and through my family. I have a broad participation in the community from a diverse range of business interests to a range of community groups.
Business Interests
I have a business interest in the following companies:
Both of these businesses allow me to support communities in ways that I never thought possible and I owe a debt of gratitude to those who have made this possible.
Community Groups
I am an active participant within the home education community and am involved in organising Home Education Association events. When I can find the extra time I also participate in the Open Source community.
I also have thrown up a couple of web sites that I often lack the time to contribute to and hope to soon be in a position to get them up to speed. They are:
I am a former representative on the Mitcham Hills Community Housing Association Inc, a group that provides housing for youth and young adults who find themselves displaced. In 2010-2011 I stood in the roles of fund-raising co-ordinator and Deputy Chairperson.
Family
They say that home is where the heart is and my heart can be found in may places across the great south land that is Australia. You can find it wherever I have family and dear friends of both past a present. Most of my family are based I in Adelaide.
Family is a very important part of our life and I believe that it is the starting point for the equipping others to face the rest of the world. I am a home educator at heart and take my own experiences with distance education with me wherever I go.
